I have a 1974 Strat and the previous owner removed the F tuners and replaced them with Schallers. In doing so he plugged the F tuners' screw holes with wood putty and made new holes to accommodate the Schallers. I want to reinstall F tuners and was wondering if I can use the existing screw holes?

You should be ok. Me personaly I'd tentatively try the original screwhole. If it wasnt up to much, I'd get the putty out of the original holes, dowel em then redrill.

Thanks for your input. I ended up drilling the putty out of the original F tuner screw holes. The whole procedure went rather smoothly. With the new F tuners on there, it looks like a Strat should!
