If they do that they should make a '52 AVRI Telecaster with a tremolo o_O Boy would that be weird.

On a serious note it would be cool if they made like a limited run of AVRI with a hardtail to satisfy people's hardtail strat needs. I cannot see a full scale production of one though, simply because they would probably not sell enough IMHO.

One John Mayer model is already one to many.

Should Fender make more hard-tail Stratocasters?

Most people think of the tremolo system when they imagine a Stratocaster, and some say it is a part of the Stratocaster sound, but I really wish there were more hard-tail Stratocasters...

The majority of hard-tails are artist models, and I really wish there were more to choose from outside of the artist models.

Something like an American Vintage Hard-Tail would be perfect.
Make it like an American Vintage 57 or 62 but with a hard-tail. Perfect.

Couldn't agree with you more. 8) 8) 8)
I block most of my Strats. The others get all 6 springs and I box up all the wiggle-sticks.
Resonance, lighter,,,,,,,IMHO.
I've just never been a trem kinda guy...

I agree with you all the way Nevin. I really have no idea why there are not more hard tails. It is not like they would cost much more to build and myself included am not big on the trem. Loved the 6 more Mayer Strats, still has me laughing.Nice touch.

As long as you can block the tail why buy a hard tail?

A couple of springs and a screwdriver can turn any Stratocaster into a hardtail in about 17 seconds. This is one of the strengths of the tremolo design.

I would like to have a hard tail Strat. I will be blocking the tremolo of my future American Special.
