I don't mind the American Strat. HSS but, I like the Deluxe model better just because of the some of the mod's on it.

i was just wondering if u should get a fender american stratocaster HSS with a black pickguard or a white pickguard. i really want the 22 fret maple neck. I also started playing 1 year ago with no lessons ,only in school.

Hi guys,

was interested in the responses on this subject. I currently own a Fender Strat (Mexican) which I obviously love, but have always found it a bit too clean sounding and lacking that certain edge.
I have just ordered a Fender american delux HSS QMT which should be winging its way from the US to the UK as i speak. I hope that this will give me the best of both worlds. i.e the clarity and cleanness that only the strat can give, but with that bit of umph always ready to come n when required.

the deluxe is a little more expensive but for the difference i say go deluxe. It has the SCN pups with the DH-1 and the fit/finish seems to be a little better. Plus i just like anything with "deluxe" in the title lol
