I got my VG out of layaway on Thursday and am having a ball with it. My wife wouldn't let me just buy as she believes I have too many guitars already(as if that is possible). It is so much fun that I find it difficult to believe it didn't sell well. I am sure the one they are replacing it with will sell even worse as I understand it needs outboard gear to work.
Anyway, it is a nice black finish with a rosewood board version. The setup out of the box was fantastic.

Congrats on the new Strat! IMHO there's no such thing as too many guitars, just too little time to play them all!

You have excellent taste in VG colors, mighty4th. That's the same color/fretboard combination VG I bought last year when they dropped to the clearance price.

Love mine, too. :)

Congrats! I bought a VG strat 6 months ago and love it. I can play any kind of music I like with one guitar. Even playing it in normal mode without any of the Roland capabilities it sounds awesome. It is a very nice addition to the other Strats I have! I was fortunate to get an unbelievable deal on mine.

Good on you!

'Bought one in June and what a fine, fine freaking guitar!

Goofy thing is, 'happily play it battery-less as an American Standard 95 or more % of the time.

Congratulatios,

I bought mine second hand a year ago, and the guy who sold it to me still regrets it. By the way, it's a sun burst with rosewood neck.
