Need to know if someone has info on a Strat regarding Made in Korea and Serial Number E1040512.... I have had this Strat for several years and decided to possibly look up some history regarding serial number. So far I have come up empty handed. There is no number any where else (pulled neck off body) that I could find other than the decal on the head stock that reads "Stratocaster" which is above the "Made in Korea" and to the left of that a decal that reads Fender which is above the serial number "E1040512". In trying to find out the approx. year there is mention of E1 with 5 digits but as you can see, there are six. Now unless they don't count the "0" (zero) after the one (1)..then I am puzzled. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

All I can make out is that it was made sometime between late 1979 and 1982.

If it were American made there would be more info but tracking other country of origin guitars can be frustrating especially when you're going back 30 years.
