Dear Fender or helpful forum users:
In the 2010 Frontline there is the American Strat Dlux HSS offered in Amber (color 720)... see link below to see the Amer Strat Dlux (no HSS) in Amber, also #720.

http://www.fender.com/products/search.p ... 0101202700

Can someone confirm these online colors are accurate? They seem to be if you compare it to other models in-store.

The reason I'm asking is because.....
- Last week I tested out the same model but in a colour that I was told, by one sales guy, was called "Natural".
- This week I ordered the HSS model in Amber (720) and while I'm ordering, a different sales guy points to the "Natural" model and says "That is Amber".

So I'm a little confused about the color I'm getting. There is a noticeable difference between the color if you compare the Amber from the internet and the guitar that is in the store.
Does anyone know if the Amer strat dlux HSS ever been offered in "Natural"?
Thx.

Both the natural and amber are beautiful finishes, you can`t go wrong with either color. I`m not sure about what colors the Deluxe is offered in though. Post a picture when you get it.

Will do, but what I'm getting at is that I prefer the Amber but I not sure the guys at the store know the difference. And I'm thinking they might have ordered the natural.

Well they dont offer the deluxe in 'Natural' finish, so you must be getting a 'Amber'.

That doesn't fill you with confidence, does it?

But nikininja is right ... it doesn't come in Natural, so you'll get Amber ...

I think the Amber is meant to be an aged version of Natural. My friend has a 72 Strat that had what was designated by Fender (he had to special order it, the store didn't have one in that finish) a Natural finish when he bought it new. It has since aged over the years to what looks a lot like what is now designated Amber. I suspect when the salesman referred to it as Natural it was a misnomer. As far as the difference between how it looks on the 'Net and the store, I would expect that. It can be difficult to get a totally accurate color match between any picture (in print or on the interenet, wherever) of an object and the object itself.
