My new guitar was “setup” to my preferences. My question is, as long as I stay with the same string “size” as it was setup to receive, am I ok. Is there a great deal of difference between Slinky’s 9’s vs Bullets 9’s vs Boomers etc, etc?? I would imagine the tolerances of a specific size sting are so stringent (from manuf to mauf) that switching to a different manufacture would be of no consequence; as long as the size from top to bottom matches what the guitar was setup to receive??

Peace,

Strings by different companies even in the same gauge may produce a different amount tension which will change your setup.
