It was not listed in the Fender sales info but it was an available colour. Rare though. It was not a custom really - just something you had to know to ask for in effect. This is mentioned on the Strat Plus/Ultra site which others have pointed you too actually. If hat's the real deal it's a nice find.
My 91 Ultra has the dark brown antique finish with the one piece veneer which is unusual but not as rare as the a firestorm.
