Why is there no control on a HSS strat in the humbucker position?
I tought that te humbucker would bring me a warm sound because i play lots of jazz, instead it brings a very tinny sound.
I'm talking about a new std fat strat...
Pls help me out,
Kur

Actually, it's not a defect. Traditionally, Strats were wired so that there is no tone control for the bridge pickup. If you want to rewire the guitar so that you'll have a tone control affect the bridge pickup, there's a few ways it can be done. Let us know if you're interested and what tone pots you want to affect which pickups. From there, one of us will walk you through it.

Thanks for reply(i'm new here).
I just asked it for information,i leave it that way. However i'm a jazzplayer and thought that the humbucker would produce a warm mellow sound instead of a thinny sound(clean mode).

No, not on any Strat, per se.

Grab a twin hum pickguard and build a nice sound from that. You can add whatever pickups you desire, wire it in ways that accentuate the mellow dual coil tone and add whatever controls you like. Between pots, caps, and pups it is possible to grasp a very jazzy tone with a strat; you simply have to know what you want to go after.

Definitely not in an HSS configuration. You would be wanting that at the neck and certainly not in a hot winding traditionally reserved for that spot. Why not audition a Fender Jazzmaster. Single coils, sophisticated tone controls, and originally conceived by Leo Fender as a jazz instrument.
