I use mine for throwing at women to see if they can catch. I mean, a woman who can't catch a Strat is no use to anyone, right?

I play everything on mine. I see it as the goto guitar that gets me roughly the sound I want. Bit of tweaking on outboard stuff, mess with the switch, volume and tone controls and I'm about there.

i was wondering if theres any metal guitarist here who use their strat for drop tuning . like Drop C or drop B with .54 string gauge ??

im thinking of mexican standard hss and switch the bucker and file the nut and make a drop tuning guitar with it . with .52 string gauge .

im sure they will could make decent guitar even if they are not Mahogany .

should take it rosewood or maple fretboard ????

Weezer's guitarist usually plays an SG or a Les Paul.
I only use my Stratocaster for the Low E and A strings. If I want to use any of the other 4, I switch to my Gibson.

I love my two Stratocasters. They are extremely diverse guitars.

Face down with heavy strings it's a great luge (go the Winter Olympics!!). Mostly it makes me feel good enough that I can go to work every day - which means I can save for my next one!

Lets see i use mine as a pillow on the tour bus..

A counter weight when walking threw airports otherwise i would fall over without having a guitar in each hand...

I also use it as a close hanger in hotel rooms when i'm to tired at 4:00 in the morning to hang close up..

My constant companion because ive been on the road so much that i spend more time holding that strat then i do my wife and kids..

I have also tried using it as a bow and arrow but i could never get the arrow to fly very far..

I guess you could say i also use it as a tool because it is how i make my living..Well actually i would play the guitar for free ..I like to feel i get paid for all the traveling staying away from my family three weeks at a time setting up tearing down and moving equipment..But i would play for free..

But to be serious i own other guitars and do use other guitars for some of the tunes we do..But my go to guitar the guitar i write and try out new ideas 99.9% of the time will be my Strat..
