: is there in difference in a bone nut and synthetic nut in tone sound and so on.i just was wanting some input on this........think i may get a bone nut put on my 60rw strat ????????? thank for the help.gj

I don't hear any difference between bone or plastic in tone but I prefer bone because I think it allows the string to slide easier, Just MHO!!
Nikininja has done some experimenting on the subject I believe!!
