There was a 50th anniversary series of guitars in 96, it being the 50th anniversary of fender. Just as the 06 guitars are 60th anniversary. The 04 strats were 50th anniversary of the strat, I cant recall seeing any 04 50th anni plated telecasters. I could be wrong on that though and would love to be proved wrong on it. I'm not sure if the previous poster (Guitslinger) got jumbled up on dates to anniversary guitars. Heres a 94 40th anni strat

Its a bit misleading to celebrate the 50th anniversary one year then a 60th two years later.

Yes ,I noticed just a while ago that I jumbled the dates.I was looking through several Fender Strat and Fender related books and got a bit befuddled.
