my bad, it is actually a strat plus, 87 model , the serial number led me to believe it was from 84, (E4xxxxx) cool old axe.

All I do is block either side of the tremblock with shims made from playing cards. Works a treat.

For years the only electric guitar I owned was a bright red Charvel Model 3 which I loved (still do). But although I still have it, it's rarely used now. Standard Strats are hot enough for me these days, and a well set up Strat vintage trem unit is still an impressive piece of kit..

I also think superstrats needed a certain hair style to really set them off. My 80s poodle cut is thankfully a distant memory..

The first guitar I got when I started playing a few years back was the ESP/LTD MW-600. Definitely a super-strat. I still love the guitar. I was and still am a metal head and the guitar suits that perfectly. Though the neck pup gives a good bluesy fender tone as well.

My LTD and my MIM strat are definitely my favorite guitars. The MIM probably ekes out my LTD. The Epi Les Paul I got when I had severe must have a LP GAS is currently in the closet.
