I have had a lot of guitars pass through my hands and not one Strat have I bonded with , that is untill this week, I picked up a 1983-84 white Fender super strat, noisless pups, wilkerson nut ( the funky one with slots for the strings to go into and roller bars to feed the strings over and under) and locking tuners. beat to all get out. red pickguard. I am still out on the locking tuners as I prefer the old early 60 styled ones.the nut is a pain but lordy can you bend them strings real easy and stay in tune, I placed 5 springs and flush ed the tremelo bridge to the body( I like it that way)pics soon. Maybe I will keep this one.

I began teaching myself guitar at the age of 17. I found an old Harmony guitar with strings a mile off the fretboard. I learned my first chords on that guitar. Last year, 28 years later after having a few guitars along the way, I bought myself my first Stratocaster. I played all the Strats I could get my hands on in my local area and just couldn't put this one down. It's been a joy to me. So yes, I have found one. I am totally satisfied with it. The only thing that concerns me about it is where it will go when it's time with me is over. I have other guitars. Some are waiting for me to play them. Some are waiting to be put in the hands of someone who'll appreciate them like I do my Strat. Glad to hear you've found one at last. Let's see some pics!

Well it got past the censor program ok. I been hearing nothing but innuendo off my band the last four hours. My innuendo gland is bone dry at the moment, or I'd atleast attempt to respond with some witty retort. Unfortunately i find myself somewhat wittless at the moment :P

Strat2004.

All previous nonsense aside, good to see your well and been enjoying yourself. Glad to hear your ok.

i have an Ibanez Roadstar II. I love that guitar, been to hell and back. I get the feeling a bunch of people are out of the age range to know what the term 'Super Strat' means.

Like niki, I don't really like too many other 'super strats'.

but truthfully, my actual Strat gets the most play, and recently my Epi Dot is the 2nd choice. The others are all tucked away. I think the super strat really suited my metal and punk leanings, but i vary rarely play either genre nowadays.

Would you consider this one? as far as im aware, the Jackson soloist/dinky and other models aswel as the Ibanez RG range are true to form to the term "superstrat". Other wise, yes I like mine- it gets the most play:

Funny, my first one had a F. Rose II trem, (I think! ) This one must be relatively new to the line:

As far as strat style bodies go that i love. I have my raven (which is a brand that cant be found much any more) and my beautiful strat that i got 2 years ago that is a grayish green 88 or 89 mij that plays better than alot of mia's i have played.

I love my Strat Ultra and other axes I have with a Floyd, but have to admit string change is torture.
