I prefer solid state for metal but solid doesn't due Strats any justice imo! Gotta go tube with my Strats.

Of course, this doesn't address reliability issues, but after reading lots of reviews on the V22 and still wondering, this convinced me that it was worth trying, based on the great sound!


I happened to find this video on youtube last night. Amp sounded great. Also "THE TONE KING" guy did a shoot out between the Bugera V22 and the VOX AC15. Bugera stomped the Vox. At lower volumes, the Bugera had better crunch then Vox....
