I have an Strat from 77-78 (serial S7 86915). Anyone idea what it would be worth?

Texas Specials (original pickups available)

Hi MacMusic: my part of the world a '78 sells for around £1500 - 2000 / $2300 - 3200. Here's a nice website:

http://www.vintageandrareguitars.com/we ... ic-Guitars

However, the guitar would need to be in original condition to get near the higher price. Don't like the sound of that pickup swap.

Nobody wants someone else's mods, just like nobody wants someone else's socks. Even if they are KC. Just the way the world is.

Cheers - C

According to the Vintage Guitar 2010 price guide the value of a 77-78 Strat is $1,500-2,000 of course Texas specials along with the original pups should make it worth a bit more.
