Hey how is it going? Theres a guy selling a 2002 MIM Stratocaster in a "midnight wine" color but in a flat finish (not gloss/shiny) with a black pickguard and maple fretboard. I have never seen that finish in my life and I was looking for some in the web and I didnt found that finish in a stratocaster body.

Does anyone have one of those? Is this an genuine Mexican Sratocaster?

Hi. If you google "Fender Satin Strat" you'll find what you are looking for. It was a finish offered on the standard Strats which I believe is no longer available (at least not on the "standard" series.)

Yeah, my daughters MIM standard strat is in a satin finish as well. I'm not 100% sure on the color. Midnight wine and candy apple red were the two reds available that year, so it's one of those. But it is in satin.
