He had 3 of them on stage. Plus a Tele on the other side was being played. And all those Fender amps!!! Fender has got to feel real good about that.

That red Strat had an extra knob on it. Am I the only one who saw that? I wonder what it was for? 8)

All those amps were mic'd. :D

piezo pickup in the bridge, to simulate acoustic sound.

It controls a fishman piezo bridge thingummybob. Basicaly his guitar is a clapton strat with piezo saddles which the extra knob controls the volume of. Ceri is the man to ask about this setup he's far more up on it than I. I heard a rumour that the Custom shop are releasing some Towny models soon. I heard that a year ago though.

If anyone has a vid of the performance let me know. It took me a year to get to see the springsteen one. I only saw it today. Being withheld from any who vids because of national borders is a travesty for any Englishman.

We've discussed that guitar before and someone posted a YouTube link to his tech who reviews the guitar completely.

Do not concern yourself Officer Calahan. In some respects your initial observation was likely valid.

That Bass Player is the guy from the house band that was on the Strat Pack Video in London celebrating 50 years of the Fender Strat in 2004.

Saw em at Leeds in 2006 and PT sounded great, whole sound was good.

Mind you they followed some bloke who rolled over the crowd in an inflatable and had dancing santas so they needed to be good!

:)

There's a blog on the MSN website about their performance. Many people are getting all bent out of shape about the band not coming up to speed. Idiotic expectations make me puke. Anyone who has the slightest bit of experience with performance understands the logistical impossibilites of yesterday. IMHO what Pete and Roger offered up was more than anyone deserved, under the circumstances. :P
