Well guys it was October when I ordered my 1st MK Strat on a Fender Friday deal which came with some blemishes. After a return, a long backorder and finally a purchase from a different supplier it finally arrived a few days ago. Weighing in at just a smidgen over 7 lbs . with the protective plastic on. This one has a nice dark Rosewood board, and flawless fit and finish. What a great guitar. :D Niki, the Red color is absolutely awesome. Here are a few photos.

Great stuff Randy. Hope your more than delighted after all you've been through.

I'm getting this tommorow
Click this

Gonna slap em in my Custom Classic. I read ages ago that Knopfler doesnt like RWRP middle pickups. He reckons the tone becomes too much like a humbucker in the inbetween positions. So I'm going with the same polarity middle and baseplated bridge pickups.

Congrats on the MK.. I know you were disappointed with the first one, but I'm sure it was worth the wait!

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Bill- It really was worth the wait. The guitar plays extremely easy even with a light touch. For me the radius takes a little getting used to, but not as difficult as I thought.

Budglo - The plastic came off yesterday evening. I usually wait a few days to make sure there are no problems with a new guitar. Many places wont do a full refund if anything is removed prior to returning. This ones a keeper. :D

Niki - The Bare Knuckles pickups your getting have made me very curious. I wish I knew where there was a guitar here in the U.S. that has them. I'd really like to hear them. Good luck with them.

Mike - thanks for the link.

Hop - This one is much better than the 1st one I received. I cant find any faults with this one. Even the Rosewood board is a darker, richer color. The neck has a nice golden tint which looks great next to the red The red is pretty close to what you see in the photo. Overall its a beautiful guitar. I dont think I could find one that is any better. I feel very lucky this time around.

I am glad everything worked out well in the end, as that was a bummer with the first one. All the best with the new one. By the way I am still kicking myself for not jumping on this ax that Friday,,,, just beautiful.
