Yes! Bleach is a killer album. I just bought the Live at Reading and it was a great watch.

Live at Reading was a great watch indeed!

Well, I agree with the inclusion of most of the usual suspects — special affection on my part for Jimi Plays Monterey as it was my first "guitar" album and I didn't know what had hit me when Killing Floor came at me — but (at the risk of everyone grumbling "when will mondo shut up about flamenco?!" ) I would like to suggest that everyone check out an album or two by Paco de Lucia. Luzía and Cositas Buenas are two recent ones, with another thirty plus stretching back to the late '60s if you feel so inclined. I know it's easy to dismiss an old guy with a nylon-string, but he really is on a different plane. He inhabits this dimension with grace and humility, though, so he doesn't depress you with the fact that he's the greatest guitarist ever to have played in any genre. Yep, sorry, he is that good! :D

Hey Mondo, what do you make of Rodrigo y Gabriella? As a player whose spiritual home is the nylon strung guitar, I like the fact that the instrument has at least a few contemporary artists..

Some good suggestions so far,

If you've never heard of The Hellecasters, check out their U-Toobs and you might want to pick up some of their recordings.

Kenny Burrell's 'Cool Cookin' is another fine one.

Also -

Duke Levine
Tab Benoit
Jimmy Thackery
Duke Robillard
Ronnie Earl

Mahavishnu Orchestra - Between Nothingness and Eternity. John Mclaughlin is a MONSTER on the guitar, not to mention the rest of the band.
