Couple years ago I bought an American Strat on eBay that had Lindy Fralin pickups installed. I hadn't heard of 'em before so I looked em up and checked reviews and comments. People raved. They just couldn't overstate how much they loved em, so I bid and won... $500 plus the seller included the old Fender pickups. It had some dings and scratches but I liked the sound alot, so damn smooth and ROUND, full bell tone. Like a Strat wanted to sound. My brother has been playing for 30 years, he tried it and was amazed at the Tone. Played an open mic gig with it here in Philly at Warmdaddy's and other dudes were coming up and asking about his guitar 'cause it sounded so much better on the house PA that everyone used. He has owned at least 15-16 guitars with every possible pickup but still hasn't bought a Lindy Fralin rig 'cause he thinks I'm gonna give him mine... yeah, maybe. Anyone else use Lindy Fralins or anything as good? I have a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail in another hand made axe that totally thrashes and wails but the Fralins are Kings of Tone.

I've never been so dissatisfied with the stock pickups that I wanted to change them out. Fralin is just one of the popular aftermarket p/u makers. Kinman is another.

A lot of people still like the old Lace pickups, too.

Fralin pickups are phenomenal!!! I have 2 teles with different Fralin pickups in them and I love them. Two very different thinlines.

Also a Washburn HB35--their version of an ES 350, with a Fralin P92 on the neck and a Fralin PAF humbucker on the bridge.

He also makes a P90 that will fit in a standard stat routed out slot. Have heard a strat with some of these.

I don't think you will regret Lindy Fralin pickups
