I'm trying to finish a 1989 '62 RI project and want to know where I can find more info. I have the body and neck plate V numbered. I lost the auction for the wire harness that had the original tone pots, and I lost the neck bid. I'm sure I can get another 1989 neck, but am I correct to assume there is date matching with the V number and the stamp on the tone pots? I can put re-issue parts back in it, ,but I want to keep it as close to original as I can.

Like, what pickups were in these, what kind of caps, Ceramic, Orange or Paper in Oi? I'm a detail nut, and it's just a fun project. So any help would be awesome.

I'm sure there are some great vintage resource sites or books out there??

Your not going to build it the try to sell it as a 62 RI are you?

No. Part of my collection. I would like to get an '82/83 62 RI, but those are very hard to come by. So I'll start with this, but I do want to keep it as much original as I can.

I've tried looking for parts and wire diagrams for the 80's, but am only finding stuff pre CBS and newer builds. Any ideas? parts?
