I know I posted a thread about the 'not even slinky" strings, but I think I found even better strings. They are D'Addario Chromes ECG25. They are flat wound 12-16-24w-32-42-52 and have a warm mellow sound.

I made a test clip of a simple rhythm in each position. I plugged in direct through a mixer into my recording interface (no amp or effects) with everything set flat and all knobs on the guitar at 10.

Hey... They say you should experiment with strings, so I'm just experimenting...
