Welcome to the forums Jazzyguy and congrats on the new gear. Candy Cola is a great color, I think. Congrats on quitting smoking too. I quit cold turkey seven years ago. Best thing I ever did for myself. :D

Nice choice. I wouldn't mind seeing the El Degas. Got a pic of that one?

Very nice. I like the color choice. I've seen a few in that color at my local music shop and they always stand out from the crowd.

Welcome Jazzguy congrats on the Candy Cola it is an eye catcher. You'll enjoy the Blues Jr. too. Its a good combination as I have both and use them frequently together in smaller venues. Way to go on the non smoking thing too. Wish I could say the same...but I'll get the book it can't hurt and I read alot anyway...

Post some pics when your baby comes in and let us see her.

You made an excellent choice. You may have also wanted to look at the new 2010 American Special Strat that just came out. It is Candy Apple Red, Maple neck, and has Texas Special pickups. Either way Im sure you will be happy.

Jazzyguy I envy you. I'll never forget the time I fell in love with strats. It was a American Musical Supply catalog back in the early 90's. Some sort of USA made replica strat, maybe '57? In Sonic Blue maple fretboard. Of course I didn't have the money to even think about it then but after many guitars and a few years I finally got mine. A '97 American Standard in Inca Silver maple fretboard. I remember waiting for it to come...it almost killed me. I've modified it a bit but it's still and always will be my favorite.

I envy you for the next few months of bliss you shall surely have.

The El Degas looks loved. Just remember to eat and bathe when you get your Fender. I wanted to play my guitar every waking moment for a few weeks when I brought it home. It's just about all I thought about. Have fun!

An hour after my last post I caved and called the store today to find out that it was on a hold for me from Friday. Someone screwed up. Good for me for breaking their balls, then.

I'm so excited, I'm going to pick it up after work 1/2 before the store closes. Pics will definatley follow. Now just waiting for my work day to end...

Congrats on the new arrival. Dont forget to post pics.
