I have seen the colour before ages ago. I cant remember what its called though. It may be some cheesy name like electron blue or something.

Chrome Blueis a shade darker than that and Fender does not post their discontinued colors on the color chart any more. I'm hoping someone more O/C than me will find their early 90s Frontline magazine and see if they can find the color.

I guess I should rephrase the question...Is this a refinish and not a factory color from Fender? Can anyone show me if it is a factory original color?

I know its not chrome blue, (cheesy) electron blue, maui blue (early 80's international color), or any other blue on the current Fender color chart or the previous one. Like Niki said earlier I swear I've seen this color before but I can't document it and its driving me  mad...

That definitely looks like Chrome Blue, with a lot of lighting put on it. Indigo Blue was a darker color. Chrome Blue was indeed a factory color, and I'm about 99% sure that's what it is.

I had a tele the same color before it became the camocaster! No idea what the actual color name was.

This is what it looked like after:

The bridge plate was replaced with matte black before final assembley.
