Just saw the Jeff Beck @ Ronnie Scott's DVD & checked out the Fender Signature model. Too much $ & doesn't appear to have what is on the guitar he is playing. (it doesn't look like the LSR nut & the tremolo bridge doesn't look like the American Series. Whats the closest Strat for having the following features:
-FenderSchaller Locking Tuners
-LSR nut- (Is the only Fender that has this the Am. Deluxe with HSS?)
-Hot Noiseless PUPS
-Not sure about the tremolo.I've only played with the American STD. 2 point; but don't know if the American Deluxe is any better/different. It appears to have a thicker arm & the Am. Std's seemed to be designed for only a depression action.
Any comments from the pros out there will be appreciated.

Well the Deluxe's are on the way out and dont have Hot Noiseless pickups. Jeff Beck uses the Wilkinson Rollernut, he stocked up on em years ago apparently. The bridge is a American Standard, it doesnt only lower pitch but raises pitch too.

Beck has it set to pull up the high E a whole tone. Now thats a serious amount of float on the trem. The rear edge of my trem was sitting 5/8's" up off the body to get it.
Details here.

I love that Ronnie Scott's DVD. Beck is as great as ever in it - I'm unable to see him in March (he's coming to Melbourne), but that DVD is a good consolation prize.

The original Jeff Beck siggy models (along with one of Clapton's most popular siggyys), were variations of the original Strat Plus line. When I see him playing one of those, I figure that's what it is; no doubt he got a crate of them back in the day.

The big differences between the regular Pluses and Jeff's original signature guitar were the neck shape and the pickup configuration. Jeff's Strat featured the huge baseball bat neck profile and a dual Gold Lace humbucker in the bridge.

This Midnight Purple example was made in the mid-1990s and features the LSR Roller Nut. It also sports the "spaghetti" logo on the peghead.

The earlier JB signatures made before 1993 sported the Wilkinson low-friction nut Jeff currently uses and a post-CBS silver "transitional" logo.

Thanks for the feedback. I am still not sure about the tremolo bridge being American Standard series.
The saddles look different (more like solid, machined pieces similar to those I've seen on the Am. Deluxe; but the tremolo arm also has what appears to be a collar where it enters the bridge-maybe for reinforcement. It might be customized hot rodding.
The details of this stuff have become an obsession, but thats me.

The bent saddles are a recent addition to the AM STD trem. Trust me thats all the trem is, with a reshaped arm.
