How is that roller nut for tone? Does it accept different string guages?

How does the QMT sound compared to the AM standard?

Is the finish Nitro or Poly?

The finish is Urethane on the body, satin urethane on the neck (super smooth)

LSR will take up to .056. Tone wise, I really can't answer that question fairly, as I am still learning the guitar. The LSR is obviously different and does bend a little differntly the closer you get to it, but as far as tone difference, I have yet to notice a great deal b/c of the nut. By comparison, the body is alder and maple, the edges are sharper, not eased/rounded like my 83 std. The fretboard is ebony, and the pickups are HSS with the SCN, my 83 has Alnicos (I believe). It is a totaly different guitar. But I will tell you this, and this is my opinion, so take FWIW. I have been playing, Satriani, Brad Paisley, Van Halen, Chuck Berry, Aerosmith, Mayer, Poison, etc, all through a Pocketpod, and I'm not spending a ton of time chasing tone. That said, I will admit the level by which I find a particular tone acceptable is certainly differnt than a lot of folks, and most likely not as persnickety.

All in all, I am very satisfied with this guitar.

Peace,
84

The majority of what most people play is fretted, so the nut doesn't come into the equation.

Nah that you find the tone acceptable is all that matters. After all why did you get into playing? Just think what were them old beat groups from the back end of beyond using. Half built/half dreamed knock ups. Half of what we call classic tone is just people who thought they could have a go at making guitars and amps, offering their bit. If it makes a sound you like, someone else will like it too. We get far too worried by what others think.

Great guitars my man, enjoy em and use em to make a noise. Thats all anyone else does.
