I just needed to say: Hooray for Texas Special Pickups! They've really breathed some new life into my MIM Standard Strat (and look nice with a mint pickguard) :D

Rule of thumb here in the forums. You change the guitar, we just have to see it!!!!

I hear ya. I can't find the connector cable for the camera, so you'll have to enjoy this one taken with the webcam...

Beautiful! Brings a tear to the eye it does! Looks a lot like an American Deluxe Strat!

I sure hope he is, those are great pickups. Great tone when cranked up and can be as buttery as they get!

I have Texas Specials in my Squier and I'm just as excited about them. :D

I put Tex-Mex in my daughter's Squire and changed the pickguard to a reddish tortoise shell pickguard. Looks really good!

I will post a review after the weekend is over, and they've been officially road tested and giged.

Dont be afraid to play with the pickup height.Alot of people like to lower them against the pickgard to give them a more vintagey vibe.

I had T/S in a Strat and liked that warm blues tone you get from them. I sold that Strat and was sorry afterwards. When the next GAS attack hits that`ll be on the list.

I have owned both a MIM Roadhouse and a Lone Star Strat the past few years but I ended up trading them for an '08 American Standard Strat and Tele. I missed the warm, clean Texas Special blues tones though, and I couldn't resist buying an American Special Strat to get them back.

It's all good now. :)
