Johnny: The treble bleed mod is designed to compensate for the volume pot's tendency to remove treble when rolling back the volume. It works, it's cheap and easy to do. Some like the bass bump when rolling off the volume, but I prefer to keep the tone unchanged through the range of the pot.

Wow...can't believe I missed this thread!

The pink strat is dope as hell...there's something about having a funky guitar...I don't know what it is.

Your not the only one with a funky piece...I just brought my first strat at age 23... I found it online and thought it was just to nice to pass up:

Gotta say it. My 6 year old daughter looked over my shoulder at your pink strat and said she wanted one just like it.

My Custom Strat needed a proper name so I named her "Joyitas" (letters by the bridge), a Luthier added those letters, Fender typography very discrete. Joyitas means Jewels in english.

Where's the skunk stripe?

Who's brilliant idea was to remove the skunk?

Bonus points for anybody who can give me an logical explanation as to why Fender decided to remove the skunk stripe from back on the neck of the Stratocaster Pro Closet Classic series? Over.

Probably because it is a vintage style neck. The truss rod was installed from the bottom of the neck as opposed to cutting a slot in the back of the neck.

Rats. Now that my daughter is old enough and expressing some interest in starting guitar ... the Hello Kitty Squier is discontinued.

At least, it's no longer at the big internet retailers. I'll have to search a little harder.

One thing: she's left handed, so this hardtail bridge will make it easier to flip around for her.
