Yes I realize Shell Pink isn't very popular. Also, if u have been reading u would know I have other strats. Very special ones n would <3 to show n share with u. But first I would like to see a pic of ur's on this thread? I'm interested in seeing the color of a strat from a non Shell Pink fan. It's black, huh? Let's have a look c? lol

Easy fella. I was complementing your Strat, not bashing it. I could care less what color it is, as long as it is a Strat. Honestly, the pink color is nice. If money were no object for me I would own one just so I could say I have one.

I was enjoying the fact that you were having a hard time placing a photo (as do I), and everyone else was posting your photo while explaining to you how to post. I meant no harm. Now check ya tone, and go play something pretty.

Feel free to look at my Strats here... http://www.fender.com/community/forums/ ... hp?t=33534

Love that Strat, bro! You're on the right track with the Callaham block; it helps a ton! Pop for the whole deluxe trem upgrade package for a few $ more; it has the Callaham bent stainless saddles and all the screws and springs you need to reassemble the trem with SS hardware. Other than that, I think you have one of the nicest appointed CS strats available. The treble bleed mod is an easy one that I recommend people do, and the SCN pups while not noisy like traditional sc pups have a very good strat tone all their own. You should especially like them once you've gigged that axe.

Best reply's I've ever read on any forum!!! Over!

Can u give any more info regarding the Treble Bleed Mod? I know it has something to do with tweeking the pods & interested to know from ur prospective n experience?

Buying stuff = fun n happiness.

Fun n happiness = pasting the buck to others.

@Johnny_jibjab:

The roller nut has not bothered me at all. Given my QMT and my 83 are two completely different sounding and playing guitars, I find the differences between the two to be subtle. I have only had the QMT since this past Tuesday so I haven't been playing it long in comparison to the 83. The only things I had to get used to were; the bridge (as I play my 83 as a hardtail, and the QMT is up about .125"), the pickups are much higher than on my 83 so I have to "pick around" them. All the other differences are so subtle to me I'm not really "bothered".

The wood grain is real/Maple & it is gorgeous.

My "yellow" 83, was actually white when I got it, way back when. Several clubs filled with too much smoke helped to age it out to the yellowish tint you see in the photo. But yea, the pink would look nice hanging next to my yellow;.... I'll give ya $100.00 for it; and pay shipping ;)

Peace,
84

Answering questions n given cheap advice in order of received:

Yeah, the only time the LSR rolling nut bugs me is when bending on the first fret. Bents different than a bone nut. It's going to take a little getting use to.

Although u have two totally different style of strats, u find only sight differences between the two?

As u probably already know, u can adjust pickup heights. The lower the pups, the less distortion.

If ur using ur 83 as a hardtail, do u have any tuning problems?

Do u have a pic of the back of ur new QMT? Got to c more of that brown-ugly wood grain.

Ur 83 definitely looks yellow on my computer screen. Even matches ur yellow date on the pic.

For a $100 u can buy a Greasebucket Tone Circuit system n they may even throw in a tone knob.

Looking forward in seeing a pic of the back side of ur new QMT.

Thxs for the replies.

Yeah u might b right, but here's a pic of a Road Worn (made to look used) shell pink strat.

Reminds me of a preppy (wearing pink polo), buying expensive brand-new worn-out pair of jeans in an desperate attempt to look cool.

Re: Shell pink strat

Am I the only one on this forum who own's a shell pink strat?

Ok then, how bout a pink squire hello kitty?
