I picked up a replacementtremolo block and bar for my son's guitar on ebay. His guitar is an American Strat (a VG actually) It has the 2-point tremolo, but the bar is screw-in.

So I pickup up a block for a Deluxe on ebay - the kind with the pop-in bar.

Thing is, when I got it, there's no nylon sleeve, spring clip, or setscrews. It's just a block, nothing else to make it work with the arm

Anybody know where I can get the parts for it?

Hi shredhed: a bit of a search is not finding me the parts you need sold seperately. So, some options:

1. See if you can identify the parts you require on the Am Deluxe parts list and then order them by part number through any Authorised Fender Dealer:

http://www.fender.com/support/diagrams/ ... 02BPg3.pdf

2. Send these people an email and see if they can help:

http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/gbri ... blocks.htm

3. Send the block you bought back to the seller for a refund and then buy the entire piece of kit from a more reputable source, such as that mentioned above in 2..

Buying on Ebay ain't always the saving we suppose, is it?

Good luck - C

Thanks Ceri,
No it isn't - lol. I guess I just expected that a replacement block would have everything in it.

I couldn't make heads or tails of the parts lists on the Fender site either. I will try those links though. Hopefully they can help.

Thanks again, Bob

Were you able to find the clip that holds the bar in the block? Mine snapped and I've been using a paperclip. Fender insists on using the pop-in block which I hate, and then they don't supply any of the parts for it. I wish they would stay with the screw-in arms for the deluxes.

Gee whiz,I wish the deluxe pop in trem arm and that style block were offered for the vintage style trem. The arm is such a better shape and the tension can be adjusted.

So I guess there is no way to get these clips?

I've tried every parts store. I guess I need to replace the block :(

I have Strats with the vintage, American Series, Pop-In and even Floyd Rose and out of all of them, I think the pop-in is by far the worst...When looking at new strats, if it has pop-in arm, it's an immediate check in the con list....but that's just my opinion.....

It's actually a good deterrent for G.A.S :)
