Email consumer relations with the serial number and in a day or two you should get a complete listing on your guitar, when it was made, wood type in body, options it has, and all it's components.

The link to email is at the bottom of the page this link brings up. http://www.fender.com/support/consumer_relations.php

If it's the same one I have....it's a MIM Strat.
The stock pickups were total crap! And it came with a cheesy single ply pickguard....I bought a 3 ply W-B-W pickguard off of E-Bay and quickly replaced it!
The overall construction of the guitar was great.
So....I threw in 2 DiMarzio Area 58's and a Solo Pro....and this thing absolutely ROCKS NOW!!

Wow, that's a cool guitar. Real Hendrix vibe with that one!

I was looking all over for a single ply pickguard with the reverse slant pickup. In the end I bought an MIA standard 3 ply. Have you left the wiring alone or did you wire the bridge pickup to a pot. I've always been curious about this mod but never done it in fear of messing up the "quack" tone of the inbetween positions? At pres it's fitted with no load pots
