As you are looking at the pot with the shaft facing the floor and the three terminals facing you, the left terminal should have the hot wire coming from the pickup selector switch, the middle terminal should have the hot wire coming from the output jack and the right terminal should be grounded (soldered) to the back of the pot. There should be NOTHING else going or coming to these terminals.

Hey Martian,

Thanks for that, I think my problem maybe the the third terminal is not grounded, I'll report back once this is checked.
