Hi Guys,

OK, i'm still pinching myself to make sure that this is true. I recently picked up an MIM HSS Strat in Sage Metallic Green on eBay. One of the guys in the band i'm in liked it so much, he gave me his 2003 American Deluxe Stratocaster for it.

Here it is:

Is it just me or is this an unbelievable deal???

It has the vintage noiseless pickup, locking tuners.....the lot!

He must not of paid for it himself, no one would ever trade an American Deluxe for any MIM strat.... Insane! That guitar must be HOT!

Well i can definitely say for sure that he did pay for it and a pretty price it was too. He wanted a Mexican Strat that he could basically upgrade. He loved the colour of the MIM and wants to put a Graph Tech Ghost pickup system in it as well as other high end modifications including kinman pickups and graphite locking tuners. He thought that doing it to the USA would be akin to heresy so the deal took place. Believe me both parties involved are very happy. I gotrat on the condition that i was never to mod it, only maintain it.

Hey I can understand it, sometimes you just connect with something. But I have to say you got the better end of the deal.

As long as everything is good and both are happy with the trade, it's a great deal. Enjoy.
