AND IF I REPAIRED A FEW THINGS ON IT, WOULD IT LESSEN ITS VALUE? I DONT WANT TO SALE IT, BUT I WANT TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY IT SO I NEED TO REPAIR A FEW THINGS.

does it have a serial number on it? either below the fender logo, on the back of the headstock, on the heel of the neck, or on the neckplate?

OK - thank you both, i will look for that number when i get back home and check it out tomorrow.. if i want to learn to play it thou.. i think that i would have to get it fixed up anyways... regardless of it affecting the value.
