Hello all.

I've had this guitar new since 1996, and guess what? Other than a few hours tinkering on it (using a Roland guitar synth of all things...) I've never played it.

I was drunk when I bought it  and it's been a case-Queen ever since. It really is "as new".

I'm not near the guitar right now (it's in the loft at home and I'm at work) so can't give you the serial # but I was thinking of selling it.

I think it has FLS pick-ups on it (Fender Lace Sensors?) - and the case says "Fender Plus" on it - and obviously it has all (or most) of the case-candy with it.

Any ideas how much it is worth? I never see these on ebay and for the condition it's in I'd say it's a good example. Do you guys get fakes? I'm a Les Paul player myself (sorry!) and we have to look out for fakes. Anything I should look out for....?

I'm in the UK.

Is there anything I can look at for a model type etc..? I just assumed it was a "Strat Plus".... Can't remember for the life of me what I paid for it......

PICTURE OF STRATOCASTER HERE !

Hope you can help guys!

Ryan

I collected the strat plus series for a long time.

for a mid 90s, in good condition, about 900. they're regarded as one of the best strat series in post CBS Fender's history, other than the Vintage RIs.

thats a beauty, looks to be Ol. White.

Yeah looks in great condition, Still can read the Fender Lace Sensor logo.

How easy is it to take the roland off? I've never used one so don't know how they attach. I see them go for anywhere between $700-$900.

Current Bluebook value on one of these is $860-1050, depending on condition. These really are great playing and sounding pieces.

If that Roland is like the others I've seen, the guitar has been "altered" to the point there are extra holes in the guitar that could decrease its value. Roland stuff is cool, but I really think its unnecessary. Its a strat, not a keyboard!

Hi all

Thanks for replying.

The roland has long since been taken off and sold. :D

It didn't involve any alterations and hasn't left a mark on the guitar.

The guitar is 100% as new - it does play and sound beautiful but I play rhythm/lead vocals in a hard rock band (lots of palm mutes and powerchords) so for 15 years it's just been in it's case.

Booze eh.....? Buying it seemed a good idea at the time.

Thanks for all your input - I might take it to a dealer to try and gauge UK prices.
