that looks like a lefty MIM Standard. First of all it has a maple neck, the CP 60s don't have maple necks. Also has a 6 point bridge, the Classic Players has a 2 point. That burst looks wrong for a CP 60s. Also the Cps don't have left hand versions. By the way this is the OP's guitar:

This is what a classic Players looks like:

I'm 100% sure that your guitar is not a classic player strat.

At best its a MIM standard, I've a feeling something a bit more sinister has gone on though. I'd need more details though and some half decent pictures of the headstock, front and rear of the guitar (whole headstock to bottom strap button).

No it doesn't. I had a 2007 Classic Player and it looked like the pictures I posted not the one you did. The CP 60s are still being made, and they only changes are that the Block went from Steel to Full size zinc, and the pickups stopped being signed by AY. Your guitar is most definitely not a CP 60s. More than likely it is a MIM Standard w an American neckplate or some sort of partsocaster. Can you post pics of the Headstock?

Bridge says "PW-29" on it

I can't see any of those pics. What you need to do is right-click the image and then select " Copy Image Location" and then paste it here. After that Highlight the link and then hit the image button, so the pictures will show up in the thread. Also if you're guitar is left handed you can go ahead and completely rule out the classic series or CP series.
