After flicking through a very respectid guitar mag the other day I came across an article on guitar setup by a famouse guitar tech and repair man. I notice a paragraph on neck relief. It said that depressing the string at the 1st and 17th fret the gap between the top off the 8th fret and the bottom of the string the measurement should be ruffly 1.7 to 2mm of relief now comparing this to loads of other measurements for relief this seemed like a grand canyone if a gap.was interested to see what you guys thought???

That has to be a typo. They probably meant 0.17 to 0.2 mm .
