Congrats on the find.

I have the same exact guitar, but mine is from 2002 (ser# MZ2 xxxxxx). It seems as if Sam Ash & Fender are reissuing this color, because, while I've seen tons of the candy apple red varieties, I haven't seen too many of these yellow cats in the wild.

Mine has some wonderful figuring in the maple neck. I love it.
