I was originally gonna get a Deluxe Players Strat, but the Sam Ash in Clw, FL. only had a Blue one that looked pretty beat up(new, but it looked like it has been hanging on the wall for a few years and played alot)and then I saw this beauty on a stand . I played it unplugged for about a half hour and it just spoke to me   . It's a Sam Ash Custom 48th Street Traditional Series with a TexMex HB and 2 TexMex SC p'ups., in what they call a Brilliant Yellow(It's BRIGHT!!)The guitar manager at Sam Ash gave me a sweet deal on it too. If anyone goes to Sam Ash in Clearwater, see Danny. I sold my Agile AL3100 for this and I could'nt be happier. I am back in Strat heaven!!!Image

Welcome to the Pearly Gates! Nice guitar. Well Sam Ash is all over 48th Street NYC these days since they absorbed "Manny's" and then finally closed it. "They were also responsible for creating the "Big Apple" Strat which was the first dual 'humbucker" style made. They used Red Dually Lace Sensors.

If that's Graffiti Yellow I'm looking at, and it appears to be, you should know that it was inspired by Jeff Beck's request for a guitar such as that back in the 80's when the Plus project was underway and the hope that he would be the first Signataure Series artist.

....and....oh yes....forgetting to add....just in case..."Graffiti Yellow" because Beck wanted a guitar finished in the same paint as the hot rod
in "American Graffiti." You'll find a photo of a Strat Plus in same coat in A.R. Duchossoir's book on the Stratocaster.

That's cool info doc. I am gonna use you as my Strat reference expert!!!This thing believe it or not is a dream to play, at least I think so!!!I have been playin' a Gibby Les Paul Vintage Mahogany and an Agile AL-3100 wide neck(1 3/4 inch nut) for the last 2 years, and for some reason felt like I was stuck in a rut in sound and technique. Now with the Strat, even with the narrower nut width, it seems like a whole new world has opened up for me.I know I am just rambling and happy about my new axe, but, I do not think I am going back to Les Paul types anytime soon!!!!

Though I appreciate the vote of confidence, if you hang around long enough you're going to be amazed at the length and breadth of the knowledge base around here. My small contribution is but a mere pittance compared to what's waiting for you. 8)

Welcome 8)

Ok the yellow body with pearloid pickguard and rosewood neck is just a delicious combination. I really like it a lot. Great you found it and that it
makes you happy!
