The TBX tone control sounds like it would be a useful upgrade...but is it? I don't see many factory fenders being built with it so that's why I'm wondering. Is the $20.00 worth it? Is there a site that shows how to wire one in a strat if you wanted to?

I think with the right pickups they are. Lace sensors and TBX go together well.

Ninja had a set of noiseless with a tbx and he had an interesting experience, hopefully he can share that with you. I have TBX in my ultra and my plus and I like it

it's in my clapton strat and i think it's a handy tool...but that's the only strat I own, so can't really compare with a normal pot

I had it on a 1996 MIA Strat. It was okay. I swapped the electronics out on that guitar for a prewired Demarzio pickguard, and never really missed the TBX.

Current axe is 2008 MIA. Upgraded the tuners and the pickups. I have a couple other mods in mind, but TBX is not on the list.
