An ex girlfriend threw out my case candy years ago, cleaning up.

But what Blertes posted is essentially what came with it, with the exception of the documentation for his pickups, which is probably unique to that model.

That's a good reason to make her an ex! How dare her toss away valuable case candy!!!!! :o

16 yrs ago when we moved into our present home I had a box a Peavey Decade came in filled with various guitar parts such as an adapter for an original Electric Mistress,a 65 Strat vibrato tail piece,a 65 Mustang tortoise shell pickguard and a pile of vintage bits and pieces. My wife seeing this box of "junk" on the floor outside the music room threw it out,I considered throwing her out behind it but it was partly my fault for leaving it out in the open. One good thing came of this, she won't throw out as much as a used guitar string since this happened.

That's a lot of vintage stuff in a landfill. Imagine how much other treasures we could find in those things!

Here is a pic of my 1994 American Standard. It's just one of the regulkar '94 production models and not one of the 1,954 limited edition strats.

I just really like the wine red color. I've owned it since '94 and these days I sometimes wish I had a maple neck. Rather than swap I think I'm just going to get a newer model AM Std. with a maple neck. This guitar has always played well. Has anyone here ever switched out their TBX pot with a standard 250k. If so, was it worth the swap?

Thanks,
Dan

*Also, I added an aged pickguard about a year ago.

Yea my Ultra has the little sticker that sat 40th anniversary, but every anniversary comes with them. There is always just one special commemorative model that is usually very collectible. But he seems to know he is just getting a standard Strat and it sounds like at a decent price so good luck.
