I don't think it was removed, and it doesn't look like a fake. It has all the Fender markings & all Fender hardware. Serial # MN4xxxxxx, so it should be a 94 mim. I'm wondering if it means anything, like an RI or odd run.

Just curious, maybe the person who does that decal was out sick that day.

Thanks

Sombody probably removed the "Made in Mexico" portion of the decal and touched up the poly.

I would guess so because some clown asks how to do this about once a week on one internet guitar forum or another. It would seem that the phrase "Made in Mexico" becomes so offensive to some guitars owners that it distracts from their playing.

If that's the case they did a great job. It makes the most since, I don't understand why anyone bothers especially with an MN seriel #. The guy wasn't selling it at MIA price. I got the guitar & a nice twin reverb 65 RI for $500.

Sometimes the "Made in" or "Crafted in" label is by where the neck attaches to the body and not on the headstock at all. I haven't really looked that hard, but have definitely seen it on a Mexican Tele.
