Well your effort shows..You didn't pick a real easy song to grove on either..One thing i did notice is you have some huge hands that look like you could stretch 8 frets if you had to so thats a major plus to us mid sized hand guys..

With that said here is a little constructive advice...Your notes were running together take short breaks in between notes maybe throw two chords than more notes work in some dramatic pauses work your bends and slides in..Like if you are playing a note in the 5th fret and then a note in the 7th bend the 5th fret note to the tone of the 7th fret not for dramatics...

I applaud your bravery of putting up a video when your relatively new to the game...The biggest thing to remember is you don't become great overnight..

Also don't worry about what others think play the guitar for yourself and your enjoyment and if you always do that everything else will take care of its self... :D :D :D :D

I think your gonna make a very good guitarist sir. Keep up the hard work. You'd have to be deaf not to hear the effort you've put in.

You have more guts then myself trauma- I am far to shy to post myself on youtube for the world to see

Mate- you are learning, but you have the idea going on there brother. Keep practicing- practice makes perfect mate, you will make a great guitarist. From some of the notes you were playing, I can see that you know what notes sound like before you play them- and you know when and where to put them. I would take the advice above and perhaps explore scales etc...

My own rule of thumb- allways learn things that are going to push your playing ability. The new song you learn, make it slightly harder than the one you learnt last week etc...

These days, it is easier to learn to play the guitar with youtube, the internet and etc...

I remember all I had was a radio cassette player- a book and my own two hands when I was learning- those were of course the 'dark ages'. Guitarplayer magazine was my friend :)

As mentioned by others. You have great potential and it shows in your playing. A tough song to follow by any means. You do in fact have the long fingers and will soon be able to master the fret board better then I and probably many others on this forum.

Nice PJ's also!

Good work, thanks for sharing and keep rocking man!!!

Trauma,

Nice stuff there. I want to record and post something too, but am a little shy and do not have the equipment to do it with. Some day I will have both the guts and the equipment needed to post a clip of me playing.

Thanks for sharing.

It's all been said already but that was great! Nice work. It takes a big person to put themselves out there like that for all to see. You should be proud of yourself!
