The white single-ply pickguard on my Clapton Strat is lifting up from the body on one side, which probably has little to no effect on playability.
However, it IS somewhat frustrating because that little fault is too hard for me to ignore.
Is there a way to fix this?

If not, will I have to disconnect everything from the original pickguard and reconnect them to the new one, including the soldering?

When putting pickguard change into option, what vintage-looking colors will be good on a black strat? I'm currently thinking about White, mint (which I'm very doubtful about), and aged white. Black is a possibility as well.

As inevitably this problem will repeat itself with any 8 hole plastic (et al.) pickguard you replace your current one with, I suggest buying the gold anodized metal one; genuine Fender, of course. Guaranteed, this one won't warp and would look pretty good on a black body. YMMV.

Give a look:
