It seems that we're just wasting our time trying to reason with two obtuse cretins who are the only naysayers on this forum, there's no convincing them that they are out of line. They're the type who'll always think that they are right and the majority is wrong.Like the old woman who saw her son in a parade and said"Look they're all out of step except my Johnny".

what did you expect?

someone shows a little compassion toward haiti, and the unbearable disaster they endured, and you come in and start to whine, & complain.

there is a time and a place where being insensitive, is funny.
NOT HERE.

what is the root of your issue.
is it the color of their skin? is it because they are different than you?
i doubt its a forum rule issue.....

Oh, great. Now I'm a racist. All I'm saying is this a forum for Strat talk, but because my opinion is different from yours, I'm a racist.

Who has the narrow mind? You can't even tolerate a difference in opinion without resorting to name calling.

Just give it up already siamese....you are barking up the wrong tree....go donate some food...go help someone instead of antagonizing......this thread is about the Haiti Earthquake and us as Strat forum members...has it occured to you while I am not Hatian that there could be forum members from Haiti or a connection to Haiti or actually in the rubble and you are just offending them and everyone else on this thread...you are sealing your own fate....if you have nothing nice to say just don't say it....

Hey Siamese - it sounds to me that you're being a little too self-righteous in your remarks and views. You are trying to make a statement "This is a board for Strat's only, and nothing else belongs here", and while technically correct in what you say, you are losing a much bigger picture as to what this Fender board is about.

If you look at the top of this page, you'll see the header "FenderCommunity"

A community is loosely defined as "A social group of any size whose members often have a common cultural and historical heritage and share common interests. And hey - guess what? This Fender Community is a group of people from all over the world that share a common interest, but have become much bigger as a group than just a guitar forum.

These people on this board are my friends, and my friends here are from literally all corners of the earth and all walks of life. I've learned a heck of a lot other than guitars and amps on this board, specifically because of some of the off topic conversations. And because of the diversity of this group and the friendships that have developed world wide, we tend to go off topic at any time on any board here, and nobody usually gets too excited about it, except when somebody gets snitty and tries to impose their will, or viewpoints on the rest of the board.

At this point is where we tend to jump in and defend our fellow friends, because we have genuine concerns and interests in what we have to say to each other, and yes, that covers a lot of different topics. If all I had to read and converse about on this Forum was Fender guitars, I'd have been gone long ago. Because I genuinely care about the folks here and am interested in their lives beyond what guitar they play, I don't mind a bit when somebody brings a different topic to the table. Lord know's that I may learn something about somebody or something that may change my old, white, fat guy attitude about the world and the people in it.

I'm thinking the vast, vast majority of regular posters to the Forum feel the same as I do. So, when somebody like you comes along and tries to whiz in our Wheaties, we don't much appreciate what you are doing.

So - I'm gonna ask you if you don't like this topic to simply do what I and a lot of others do when we see a header for a topic we really don't care about - don't click it open. Simple enough?

Your pot-stirring comments really aren't appreciated or called for.

Rick

That's kinda sad. I disagree with you so I'm a stupid racist. Now you're using Jesus against me?!?! Is THAT what Jesus would do? Luckily, I'm an atheist and don't have to ponder such matters.

Like I said, it's a Stratocaster forum. For discussing Stratocasters.

Then stop discussing what we discuss, and just stick to Stratocasters.

Ohhhhhhh, craaaaap. I just took a look at Trauma's past posts. It was like a revelation. Hardly any of them have anything to do with Stratocasters. And the few posts that have anything to do with Stratocasters indicate he knows squat.

Pathetic. Really. I'm feelin' sorry for ya dude. And a little queezy. Judging by the drivel you've posted in the past...I mean like old lady drivel...I can see now why it's so important to you to hang on to what little you've got.

Why do you even bother going to a topical forum when all you do is post drivel? I'm guessing you got kicked off the drivel forum (and not for talking about Strats, that's for sure).

Until I saw all your lame drivel posts I at least assumed you had some sort of value here on the forum....OOOOPS!! I doubt whether the forum can even be of much value to you, as you;re too busy posting your drivel all the time.

Okay, so I figured I had a legitimate beef with your original post... and then yeah, I messed with you a little. Then I looked at your posts. What a LOSER. I'll leave you alone now little fella.

Im sorry mate, but you have really pushed this whole forum thing too far. What is your point- I assume you are under the impression that everyone agrees with you. You obviously lack even the smallest amount of wisdom to figure out that you are the only one who shares your view point, and by the undertone, the content and the pattern of your posts- no-one would care to interact with you either.

You jump and shout people are picking on you, calling you names, ordering you off the forum- winging like a child, when in actual fact- hardly any names have been thrown at you at all. People have suggested to look away if you dont like this forum, and no-one started picking on you untill you disrespected a view from another forum member, that he obviously took time to tell us and has the heart to rally us all together for a humanitarian disaster. The only reason why people are retaliating, is because you are stirring them to do so, where in actual fact- all you are doing is ensuring others loose their respect for you, and it will be only a matter of time before word spreads, and you will be reported.

To be honest, I wouldnt mind betting you are that way inclined in real life.

I sincerely hope you dont treat your family/friends & loved ones in such a manner. Then again, I wouldnt be so confident.

You seem to be the type that would take anything to heart, fly off the handle and turn things into a much bigger deal than what they are, and create feuds as a result. You probably have a problem with a lot of things if they dont go your way either- and you stirr things around just to get your point across, dont you?

I figured you must be an atheist as most religions teach compassion and empathy and instill in us that we are indeed our brother's keepers.A person with religious beliefs wouldn't be so hasty to condemn someone who for purely altruistic and compassionate reasons brought up the plight of fellow humans who through no fault of their own live in the poorest country in the western hemisphere. These people had nothing to begin with, now they have less.It seems like you begrudge them the help people are giving them, sad indeed. As Dandemis said"Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own.You may both be wrong."
P.S. Something for you to mull over. Are you aware that hunger is so widespread in Haiti that for years people have been making and eating flavoured mud cakes to stave off the feeling of hunger?I doubt many in the US have to resort to that.

Ok Trauma- I have reported forum member siamese to admin, I'm guessing this will be locked very soon. I am however sorry that it took this turn and I hope everyone does make an effort to aid in relief.

and siamese, dont go throwing stones if you live in a glass house. Dont ever get personal to trauma or throwing insults to anyone ever again, you wont last long on these forums, and people will loose respect for you. I certainly will not interact with you, and other members will remember you.
