Again with the assumptions....You have no idea where I was.....so you should stop assuming......but in case you're interested, I was there helping, handing out water and filling sandbags!!! Boy, don't you feel stupid.

The question is: where were you?

BTW: Did we send 3000 US Marines to New Orleans after Katrina? NO.
Did any other country on the planet send a ship to the U.S. with aid for Katrina victims? NO.
Did any other country on the planet land a plane in the U.S. with aid for the Katrina victims? NO.

so what is your point? compassion? The original reason for this thread? Do I feel stupid? no.......and that is all I have to say about that.....my manhood and ego are intact but thank you for asking.......so now are you going to contribute to this thread or are you going to continue to be a muffin head?

What is wrong with you.....why do you continue to insist on name calling???
Yes, compassion, if you read one of your previous posts you assumed I had none and you said so. So stop assuming!!!

I'm glad to hear you're in touch with your female side.

And you STILL don't get my point....OMG seriously trauma?? Ok, real simple, Lets help out the citizens of the United States with as much passion as we are showing with the people of Haiti.

Another part of my point....Again...in our time of need.
We did not see any country on the planet send a ship or plane with aid to the U.S. to help the victims of Katrina.

Maybe someday you'll get it. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make'em drink.

I'm having fun with you at this point. You are just a toy for my intellect to play with.....so when there is a natural disaster and it's not in our country even though the citizens of that country make up a good percentage of our country we should not help is that what you are saying because you are confusing the original point all together......you are just answering my question because a large number of americans died in the quake, who have family HERE IN AMERICA....... so what is your point.....That is why America is loved we help whoever is in need and most of the time the people of that country have a major population here in AMERICA...................is that check or checkmate at this point? We can run all over this chess board of ideals all night......

So you're going to go with the "just having fun with you" excuse. That's what people use to admit defeat in a debate.
Thanks for admitting your defeat in this debate. You finally get the point.

Are you mad? You went around in circles and offended everyone so you could justify a point that was the basis for the entire thread in the first place? You are just not there are you?

Where was I? I spent 23 years in the United States Air Force putting my arse on the line every day for years for the big picture view of protecting the rights of knotheads like you...

I've sat nuclear alert away from my home, wife and family one week out of every three, for years, to help bring the Cold War to an end. I've deployed to every hotspot in the world - some like the Mid-East, Iraq and Afghanistan, more times than I care to count. I've flown dozens of humanatarian airlift missions from Africa to Central America to several different hurricane relief efforts in the United States.

I've had to console families of friends and fellow airmen who have died in aircraft accidents and other acts of war as they partook in all of the above mentioned actions.

I've been a part of saving the good guys on day one and helping the world get rid of the bad guys on day two in places on this earth you've never even read about.

I've flown numerous drug interdiction missions over South America and the Gulf of Mexico to try to keep the drug lords at bay..

I've spent numerous holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries overseas away from family and home to do my part in keeping the world a wee better place to live in.

From war zones thousands of miles away from their homes, I've flown the remains of our countries brave men and women home in body bags in my aircraft.

Do I need to go on? Because I can...

Wanna match that with your water bottles and sandbags?

Get a grip you little pr ick. Your nonsense shows your young age and lack of maturity. Grow up and come back and join the group when you've manned up a bit.

but thats because we are America. we have always strived to help people even though at times people do not return the favor. it's because we like to help people feel better and show them that we are always here to help and we are compasionate. we do those things because thats what we as Americans chose to do, to help people. saving a life in Hati (sorry if i spelled wrong) is truly a great thing. a life is a life no matter where we are from and i think if we had the chance we would save them all. just because people dont try to help us dosn't mean we should not try to help others.

saving lives is the right thing to do

The bottom line is that some people come to the forum to talk Fender/guitar related topics. There is a place for off topic things, its called the "Lounge". I agree to an extent that when you open the strat forum you expect to see things that are guitar related. Its got nothing to do with people being more compassionate than others. It has to do with the fact that some of us, myself included, come to the forum to escape for a while and talk about what we love. I dont come to this forum to talk about whats going on in the world today. Thats just my opinion and i am entitled to it, just as everyone else is entitled to their own. Thats what makes the forum great.

That being said I have no problem not reading topics that I dont care to read about. Im not taking sides or trying to fuel the fire, i just thing everyone should chill out.

Well, nicinflorida, I feel for ya man, but you're just going to get a flat spot on your head from bangin' it against that wall. Arguing with these guys is like boxing with the armless. They're just not equipped.

The funny part was where Trauma mentioned his "intellect".

As I mentioned in a previous post, it's interesting to check the past posts for these guys. They're like a bunch of little girls with their chatter.
It may be a failing of this site that they don't have a separate section for general discussion. Some of the topical sites out there do that, and it tends offer a relief valve to keep the little girls from contaminating a good site.

Fender does have the Fender lounge, which is a litte more broadly categorized. I'm not so sure that it's broad enough for discussions on evolution by people who slept through their public education, but it's probably the more appropriate place for the little girl talk.

Luckily, nicinflorida, not all the members of this site are little girls, so when you need a little info pots, woods, sustain blocks, or what have you, there's a good chance you'll get some valuable info. Provided you don't mind sorting through the jibberish.

But hey, when you think of these characters, isn't it easy to imagine them arranged in a circle?

You want to talk about it offline, click on my email, send me your phone number and we can have a nice little chat. Guitars, cars, anything you want. I'd love to talk to you...

Blerties, has that skull from Peru been authenticated by anthropologists or other experts in the field of simian or human development?I can recall reading about Piltdown man and it was hailed at the time by "experts" as being the"missing link" and even more bizarre when the 1st remains of a platypus were brought back to England from Australia they were dismissed as an obvious hoax cobbled together in an amateur fashion as a publicity stunt, again by"experts".I am by no means an anthropoligist but I find that cranium more than a bit suspicious.

It sits in a mueseum in Peru- Im not sure if anyone has studied it, but such a find Im sure they would with no delay. If it was a hoax, then I guess they would throw it in the trash :D
