Has anyone out there implemented a Fender mid range boost mod to their strat? I have purchased one but it came with a dearth of instructions. I got two skematics--and they don't match. And then there's the issue of where to put the small circuit board and of course the battery!?! The kit also comes with replacement pots and a new output jack. I am keen on getting more mids from my strat and I thought this kit would do it. But my MIM Squire strat has a different 5-way switch than the skematics and wires just don't line up. Anyone scrape their knuckles on this one and have had success?

Stumped in Minnesota,
Pablo

I am building a "Brownie" EC Strat from the following:
Sunburst Affinity body
No name neck
EC assembly that I purchased from Australia.
Various other parts that I picked up here and there, mainly from Reliable Fender on eBay, and Stewart McDonald.

All of the parts had been sitting around my shop/rehearsal building while I finished a very nice Weber Kit amp that I have been building. Yesterday, while it was raining I got back to work on it. I had to drill holes in the neck and cut the neck bolts down to make them work with the Affinity body (it is not as thick as a standard Strat body). I may work on it again some today and this weekend. It will have Lace sensors. The hardest part will be soldering everything correctly.
