thinking of thinning out the herd to get a classic series telecaster thinline semihollow, with dual humbuckers.
fell in serious GAS LOVE for this axe.
EXTREMELY versatile.
i want it 2 tone sunburst. maple neck.
the one i tried had a thick neck compared to a c neck that is standard.
totally sweet.

now i need to decide. maybe ill just save up.

Go for it. I bought the exact guitar you're GASsing for about this time last year and it's one of my favorite Teles. The 2 Tone Sunburst finish is what first caught my attention and the tone of the pickups sealed the deal. They sound good clean, thicker and slightly mellower than a traditional Tele and they handle gain well. What's not to like?

Oh, and it's really light and comfortable to play, too. :)

Bunch of good folks with damn good
taste.

I took pics of it w/iPhone
pitched the idea to the law.
She thought it was gorgeous,

Hey John.Bohn yeah I'm gassing for
the 2tone sb, congrats.
I'll be selling the gdec, frontman 25,
a yamaha classical guitar that's gathering
dust. And save some dough.
Can't bring myself to part with any of
my strats .
It's one of the most gorgeous mim teles
I've seen, next to Baja tele.

The Natural '72 Thinline Reissue looks great, too. It was a tough choice between the two but the 2 Tone Sunburst was a Fender Special Run and who knew when they would be back? One year later and there they are.

Good luck saving up for one. :)

Dumping a Strat for a Tele is just not right. YMMV.

GO For It !!!Tha Thinline is a vastly unappreciated guitar, those humbuckers are so distinctive, unlike any others.

yeah, i just bring myself to give up one of my strats.
i decided to sell other extra stuff i have.

martian, give this guitar a go, the pickups are called wide range.
i fell in love.
i tried it on a superchamp, then i tried on a egnater, then a reverb deluxe reissue. then a solid state amp.
the dynamics on it are incredible, and it looks hot too.

I dunno Martian - I was thinking he was coming over to the Tele side of the house and finally saw the light! :D

I wouldn't sell my Only Strat for a Tele but if you have more than 1 Strat I see no harm in it.
