Has anyone else seen this DVD? I was curious as to what color the Strat that EC is playing. Its not one of his signature guitars and certainly not the correct color to be one. It looks like Sonic Blue to me, but could be Daphne Blue. I havent looked close enough to see the bridge, that may be a factor.

I know, WTF does it matter. It doesnt, I am just curious.

BTW, an excellent DVD. Its 2 discs, and 80% of it is concert.

Hi camocowboy777: I was at that show. While they were resetting after the support act I saw a pale blue (Sonic Blue, I'm pretty sure) Strat being carried across the stage and mentioned to my wife that Fender Forum user ZZDoc had told us the Custom Shop had recently built a guitar that color for Clapton.

And whadayaknow, a few numbers in Clapton himself walked out and played that Strat. Forewarned is forearmed!

It is not available as a Clapton Sig color yet. If I remember rightly Mike Eldred of the Custom Shop told us they'd let Eric have it to himself for a year or two before bringing out a production version of it. So maybe later this year...?

Cheers - C

There's a Clapton guitar on the custom shop page that's daphne blue. It says that and EC Grey (pewter) are for the 2010 year. But I don't know about Sonic Blue.

Hey thanks Ceri! I fell in love with the color last year. My wife bought me a classic players 60's model for Christmas and I havent put it down since.

I really like the color combination with the rosewood fretboard, but after seeing Eric playing one with the white neck I like the way it looks as well. Man, that would be too cool in a Clapton signature!

I am extremely envious of your attendance at the show. As great as it is on DVD, it must have been unbelievable in person.

The good news is that EC is going to be in Tulsa in March and J.B. is coming to Oklahoma City the same month, and the tickets have been purchased.

Thanks again

Ruh-roh.... Is it possible that my fantasy is already coming unraveled..hahaha

I think I could learn to love me some Daphne Blue I guess.

Ceri they probably want to see how much wear he can put on it so they can also semi relic it. Doc told me you and your wife were at the show and I believe he said you can be seen on the DVD. My brother got it for me for Christmas and has been out of state with his girl since a week before. If he does not get back soon I am just going to have to go grab a copy as I am really dying to see that show as I really like Bonamassa. The guy is the goods.

The DVD is awsome for sure. Joe is coming to Upstate, NY (not far from where he is from) in April. Got my tickets WELL in advance. I can't wait to see him live. I'm hoping for an autograph but, it probably won't happen.

Haha - it's been mentioned a few times on the Forum so some folks will be tired of hearing about it. So apologies to them, but just once more...

The "bonus" track on disc two is Woke Up Dreaming. At 7:02 in that track you can clearly see a guy in the audience in a blue rugby shirt first whispering in his wife's ear and then raising a little camera to take a shot. That guy who should be paying more attention to the music is - me.

Don't think that particular photo came out well, but this one earlier in the evening was better:

BTW StrayCat: I got an email from the Doc asking if it was OK to share my email address with you, and I naturally responded in the affirmative. Drop me a line sometime if you feel like it...

Cheers - C
